Our work speaks for itself

From concept to completion, our recent projects demonstrate care, innovation, and measurable impact.

Duplex and Secondary Dwelling

In transforming a 1950s family home at Woody Point, the goal was to create a modern, luxurious living space designed for generations to come. This property, held by a longstanding local family, presented a unique opportunity to blend heritage, lifestyle, and investment potential into a contemporary duplex with a secondary dwelling overlooking Moreton Bay.

I worked closely with all five family members and our construction team to bring their vision to life, navigating a complex MCU process, council meetings, and compliance requirements to ensure the design complemented the sloping block, surrounding landscape, and breathtaking views. Every detail—from layout to finishes—was considered to future-proof the home while maximizing its livability and investment value.

Key Challenges & Solutions

  • Waterfront and coastal considerations: Addressed environmental and council requirements to ensure the home fit naturally with the Moreton Bay setting.

  • Multiple family stakeholders: Balanced the needs and preferences of a multi-generational family, turning diverse ideas into a cohesive design.

  • Sloping block design: Overcame structural and construction challenges with a concrete suspended slab, optimizing space, views, and functionality.

Through a creative, design-led approach, we transformed a beloved but dilapidated family home into a stunning modern duplex. This project highlights my ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage complex planning approvals, and deliver homes that are practical, beautiful, and built to last for generations, all while keeping the process collaborative, enjoyable, and meaningful for the family.
