Smart living.. Duplex, rooming, and student-friendly
Have you considered the potential of rooming accommodation on your lot? In the heart of Nambour, this classic infill battleaxe block presented an exciting opportunity to deliver functional, stylish, and inclusive housing solutions. With a lot size of 482sqm, the project called for creative design and precise planning to meet both regulatory requirements and the needs of multiple residents.
My role was to coordinate the design, navigate council approvals, and ensure every detail worked for all tenants. The duplex-style layout accommodates up to six households while keeping laundries and shared spaces functional, accessible, and private. The home’s design includes large, wheelchair-friendly bathrooms, open layouts, and a stylish combination of blockwork and modern cladding, ensuring comfort, inclusivity, and long-term functionality.
